The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) welcomes applications from unemployed graduates across South Africa for our Internship Programme.

Regional Office in Western Cape – 10 Positions Available

Roles Available:

  1. Operations Management in the Office of the General Manager (Ref: GA/WC/1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar (NQF 6 or 7)
  2. Disability Management Unit (Ref: GA/WC/2) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar (NQF 6 or 7)
  3. Disaster Management (Ref: GA/WC/3) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar (NQF 6 or 7)
  4. Operations in the General Manager’s Office (Ref: GA/WC/4) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar (NQF 6 or 7)
  5. Departmental Coordinator for Corporate Services (Ref: CS/WC/1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Public Management or Office Management (NQF 6 or 7)
  6. Human Capital Management (Ref: HCM/WC1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management (NQF 6 or 7)
  7. Security Management (Ref: CS/WC/1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Security Management or Public Administration (NQF 6 or 7)
  8. Communication (Ref: COM/WC/1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Communications and Marketing (NQF 6 or 7)
  9. Legal Services (Ref: LS/WC/1) Qualifications: LLB Degree (NQF 8)
  10. Debt Management in Finance (Ref: FIN/WC/1) Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree with a major in Financial Accounting (NQF 6 or 7)

Application Details Internship Programme:

  • Application Deadline: August 22, 2023
  • Age Requirement: Applicants aged 18-35 years
  • Citizenship: South African citizens only

Successful candidates will be appointed for a 12-month internship with a stipend of R 7043.31.

Notes:

  • Pre-employment screening includes qualification, reference, ITC, and criminal checks.
  • We prioritize diversity in race, gender, disability, and youth representation.
  • Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA before selection.
  • SASSA staff undergo compulsory security vetting.

Nedbank YES Programme is a business-led collaboration with government to reduce unemployment by giving our youth an opportunity to develop new skills and gain meaningful workplace experience, which will improve their chances of finding long-term future employment significantly. 

This is a 12-month contract opportunity which offers a stipend of R4407 monthly. Upon completion you will also receive a certificate of completion and a reference letter for your future work prospects.

The YES Programme is a business-led collaboration with government to reduce unemployment by giving our youth an opportunity to develop new skills and gain meaningful workplace experience, which will improve their chances of finding long-term future employment significantly.   • Will not be enrolled in academic studies for the duration of the YES programme.
  • Have not participated in another YES programme with another organisation before.
  • No prior experience needed.
  • Positions available Nationwide (All 9 provinces).
  • 12 Month Contract.
  • Stipend: R4407.00.
