For more information, please see our Privacy Statement.

14 – What prevents the UIF call center staff from disclosing my information if they have access to it?

After receiving confirmation that your uFiling account has been activated, you can enter your banking information under the “Employer” and “Bank Account Details” menus.

17 – Does any banking facility accept future-dated transactions?

18 – Can I use uFiling to pay outstanding penalties and interest?

Yes, you must be activated on uFiling in order to submit UIF declarations and contributions.

No, but becoming a practitioner allows a user to manage other Domestic Employers and Commercial Employers. This includes receiving monthly issued declarations, submitting declarations, and paying contributions on behalf of these Employers.

21 – Can I underpay on the initial payment?

No, the system calculates the UIF payable based on the employee’s salary .

22 – How does the UIF ensure that manual payments are reconciled with UIF returns submitted online?

When a UIF declaration is submitted online, the relevant reference information is recorded, and a debit is recorded on the UIF contributor’s account. When making a manual payment, the payer must ensure that the reference number for the declaration period is correctly entered. The reference number that must be provided when the contribution is paid is as follows: (UIF Reference Number and contribution period year and month – YYMM) (9999999 0906).

When the UIF receives their bank statements, they will identify the reference number provided and reconcile that reference number to the online declaration made by the uFiler. Based on the reference provided, the UIF system will generate a credit to the same UIF contributor’s account, canceling out the initial debit details.

23 – Can I use my credit card to make payments to the UIF?

No, UIF will only accept payments made by debit order or credit push through Internet banking.
