  • Salary: R424,104 per annum (Level 09), excluding benefits. PSR 44 applies to salary level appointments.
  • Location: Pretoria

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree/National Diploma in Communications or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in marketing and/or communications (an advantage)
  • 3-4 years of experience in corporate communication, public relations, and management
  • Experience in the public sector is highly desirable
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Passion for communications, social development, and impact creation
  • Ability to work independently and meet communication targets

Responsibilities:

As a Communication Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating and executing knowledge sharing and communication activities for the Jobs Fund Project Management Office (PMO). Your duties will include:

  • Public Relations: Enhance and maintain a positive public image for the Jobs Fund (JF) through PR programs and campaigns.
  • Events: Plan and promote events to increase the profile of JF among target audiences.
  • Communication Framework: Develop and implement communication strategies including content creation, social media, articles, and media releases.
  • Promotions and Marketing: Provide input for marketing publications and facilitate information-sharing opportunities.
  • Website and Social Media Administration: Manage JF’s digital presence, including social media accounts.
  • Inbound and Outbound Communication: Coordinate internal communication and manage external inquiries.
  • Database Management: Maintain key stakeholder contacts and communication databases.
