Location: Pretoria

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Qualification in Public Finance considered a plus
  • Minimum of 4 years’ post-training/internship experience, with at least 6 years’ experience in Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Structured Finance
  • At least 1 year at management level
  • Public service experience advantageous

  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer programs and applications (MS Office, Internet, email)
  • Development Financing: Knowledge of financing long-term projects and public services
  • Economic Development: Understanding of South African economic development policies

  • Grant Management: Understanding of grant funding approaches and regulations

  • Public Finance Economics: Knowledge of government financing methods

  • Analyze corporate financials and investment proposals for Jobs Fund applications
  • Review and align Jobs Fund policies with accounting standards
  • Appraise new investment proposals and determine optimal funding allocations
  • Conduct financial and risk analysis, as well as institutional analysis
  • Monitor project progress post-investment and ensure compliance
  • Coordinate with Jobs Fund Project Management Unit for financial analysis and reporting
  • Assist in policy and regulation development and revision
  • Foster efficient communication and team dynamics
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools

As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the South Africa Finance function by preparing monthly journals, reconciliations and SG&A accounts. You will also participate in ad-hoc activities supporting the Finance Director & SA operating business units.

  • Managing 3rd party insurance policies and processes

  • Support the Finance Director in contributions to the development and delivery of strategic objectives of defined projects
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and partnering, enhancing efficiencies and supporting senior management


Bachelor’s Degree in: Accounting / Finance / Economics


Previous working experience in an Accounting role
