OMIG Imfundo Trust Scholarship 2024

The Imfundo Trust prioritizes deserving individuals, particularly women, from black communities, fostering educational advancement at leading South African universities.

Scholarship Details:

This prestigious scholarship provides comprehensive support for full-time undergraduate and selected postgraduate degree programs at accredited South African universities.

Fields of Study: For First and Second Year Studies:

  • Business
  • Commerce
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Management Sciences
  • Computer Science and related disciplines
  • Data Science

For Postgraduate Studies:

  • Climate Studies

Continued Financial Assistance:

Recipients are encouraged to excel academically, as continuation of OMIG’s financial aid is contingent upon yearly academic achievement. Graduates are not obligated to join or work for the Old Mutual Investment Group, as the scholarship is a gift that doesn’t require repayment.

Scholarship Requirements and Eligibility:

To be eligible for the OMIG Imfundo Trust Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Maintain an average of 65% or higher in their latest examinations (mid-year / June) for first-year students
  • Be entering their first or second year in 2023
  • Attain a minimum average of 70%, with 70% for Mathematics and English FAL (or 60% for English HL)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Preference given to candidates from rural or township backgrounds
  • Showcase academic dedication and success
  • Embrace diversity, with a focus on 50% representation of black females
